About Me

Sam Flomenberg

In 2018, I graduated from Widener University with a Master’s in Tax and Financial Planning, having completed the school’s 4+1 program. Following graduation, I spent three years as a financial analyst at a large RIA firm in Philadelphia, where I supported high-net-worth clients alongside my manager, offering financial advice and planning.

Eager for a more client-facing role, I transitioned to a small RIA firm as a financial advisor, where I focused on creating financial plans and participating in client meetings. After a year and a half, I was laid off, which prompted me to reassess my career path and ultimately led me to start my own business.

Today, I am the owner of Propeller Bookkeeping, LLC, where I serve people in the trades with virtual bookkeeping services. To me, bookkeeping is both straightforward and rewarding, providing a solid foundation for the clients I work with to grow and succeed.

About Me Personally

I’ve been passionate about martial arts for most of my life. I began training in Kenpo Karate at a young age and dedicated ten years to it, earning my first-degree black belt before stepping away to focus on college. In November 2021, I reignited my martial arts journey by starting an adult program at a new school, still practicing Kenpo. Currently, I’m two-thirds of the way to earning my black belt once again.

While karate will always hold a special place in my heart, I also developed a deep appreciation for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I took Jiu-Jitsu lessons at my dojo for a while until the instructor moved on. Now, I’m eager to get back on the mats and continue my Jiu-Jitsu training—but I’m looking for training partners to make that happen. If you’re in the Philadelphia area and are interested in practicing together, I’d love to connect!

Outside of martial arts, I live in Cherry Hill, NJ with my husband. Although I adore cats, we don’t have any due to family allergies. I’ve always wanted to use my math skills to make a positive impact, and I’m committed to using the financial success of my business to first support myself and my health, and then to give back to my community—especially to help those in need in the Philly area.
